For those of you who were as disgusted by this as I was, here's an update.

Okay... I give up... what is the purpose of rebirthing therapy?

Rebirth therapy is a rush.
It's a squeak trying to get back into the womb though.

Pongo summed up this therapy best:

Quote
Rebirthing. Sounds more like something to appease the adoptive mom then to affect the child in any way.(other to in the least disturb them and at the most...
Am I missing something. What effect where they waiting for to release her? A placenta?
What is the "normal" progression of this "therapy"?
We will torture your adopted child so they forget they were born to someone else?

Why not torture them to convince them they are Gandalf the Grey. Seems about as reasonable.

Y'know, you read the news, you watch cable, you remember reading that Marquis de Sade book that a guy had in college, and you think maybe, just maybe, you've heard of everything.

But n-o-o-o-o-o.  Jesus wept.  That child obviously had it bad from birth, and she went out in a bad way too.

Those people are obviously insane.  I think they should be locked up for the rest of their lives, and studied by gum-chewing undergraduate students as they are shuttled around from university to university in a plexiglas tank.

What in the name of anything holy did they think they were doing?  I don't know, call me silly, but I think screaming, "I can't breathe!  I'm dying!  I've just toejam my pants!" might be kind of a signal that things aren't going too well.

Man.  Something new everyday.

They were actually enjoying and the more she screamed, they more they laughed.

Its sickening, I'd shoot them, right there in the court room.

The whole thing is something that the stepmom can hold over the girls head(if she had lived) to make he mind.

You know "Girl you better behave or we are going thru rebirthing again" type toejam. It's a way of scaring the little girl.

I hope they put the stepmom away also for taking her there in the first place.
I have been reborn a new man!

Notice I never said a better man.

Her trial is coming up, seperately from the others.  It's hard for me to even follow this case it's so sickening.
