Shore Battery Bug?

What is this? The shore battery / hard gun (bas0.shp) is not working correct. The shell is exploding in front of the battery about 80% of the shots.

I have sunk the batteries 145 feet below the terrain on V-bases, but as you can see from this picture I also tested it on the "normal" terrain tile near coastline and without "digging" it in the ground:



It have tried to define it as a Gun Batt, Gun Bat Armor, Gun Bat Hard and Gun Bat Soft". Nothing helps... :cry

This probably won't really help you, but I remember that being an issue after one of the releases last year.  HiTech fixed it but there's nothing in the thread that says what was going on.
