If I remember my basic chemistry Muriatic Acid is actually HCl or Hydrochloric acid. Very strong stuff. Be very careful not to mix it with an oxidizing agent or chlorine gas can form. Nasty thing to breath .... very nasty.

Check the molar level of the HCl, anything above 3 or 4 is liable to do serious damage to skin and clothing I think. Sounds like Muriatic acid is somewhere between 8-12?
