I would like to officially protest the use of the word "Redneck".

My people prefer the term "Appalachian American."

Myelo,

Those folks already have several names to identify with. Hillbillys is one, inbred is another. I would say they are at best, a subset, thankfully a small inbred hillbilly subset, of the larger and not inbred set of "Rednecks". :p

But I want a hyphenated American name. Everyone else gets one. I feel disenfranchised and am considering taking legal actions.

But I'll probably just take a nap until the feeling passes.
