Westy, I dunt think it is possible to avoid the ship known as M.S. Bloat. Much like an icebreaker, once she gets moving, she is hard to stop, and when she crashes into something she just keeps on going. Slowly, but moving nevertheless, in spite of what you want her to do.

i have been thinking of ordering 2 copies for a just in case scenario for my 2 pc's
i have seen lots of good deals till i read the fine print and see that they arent full versions of xp pro

I just loaded Vista Ultimate on an extra HD and installed Aces to see how/if it would work.

Aces installed just fine, but wouldn't run. This is probably due to the horrific lack of drivers for Vista.

Hopefully things will change once it's released and companies provide new drivers.

P.S. Anyone else try Aces on Vista? I'd be interested in hearing about it.
