Since the war looks to continue through Feb. encompassing the entire war, we all need to realize that the furball at Dover area will eventually slow down. There will probably continue to be battles there, but hopefully as better allied bombers enter the picture, there will be deeper missions planned, than strictly A46 and A45 area.
Im of the opinion, that this arena should be mission based. That goes for any plane type. If you are in a fighter, group up with others and go out on patrol of the Channel, rather than single sortie runs. Those should be done in the MA. Same goes for bombers. Once the B17s enter, lets not just kill A46 and A45 hangers over and over with single B17 sorties.
WHile we're at it, why not have squads claim a base of operations to spread out the front a bit. There are many fields along the coast on each side of the channel. Perhaps make a chain of command, guys that create missions, guys that command missions, and those that join missions. We could add alot of RPG to the arena.
On the issue of bombing, once heavy bombers become part of the war, bases will feel their strength I am sure. Lets not punish guys who up a big mission and close a base. They are playing the arena as they should. Tell single guys to join a mission rather than go out alone to hit a base, but try to defend your base against a well planned mission rather than attack them verbally.
Finally, at some point June of 1944 will arrive. I would imagine at that point, allies will own some of the bases on the continent. Im also hoping at that point, the ground battle will begin, allowing tanks etc.
So far Ive really enjoyed the play in the AvA. The players have made it that way. Lets keep up the good spirited play, and defuse any 200 bashing before it starts, whether he is on your side or the enemy.
