Hey All
Aces High requires a large degree of discipline and effort to even
begin mastering the Game. You have to understand a number of things such as:
The Difference Between Each Planes Flight Model The difference between flying an F4U-1 and an FM2 is extreme but you do not expect that as a newbie, (hey they look quite similar to the newer player). The TacticsACM's (Air Combat Manuvers)The EnvironmentSo I thought that I would throw together a list of the most useful AH II site's I use.
I have more I want to add, but as I wanted to give you some useful info on what each site offers and why I like it. This has already blown out after only four sites…
I hope you find this helpful and interesting.

Soda’s Aircraft Pages
Soda’s Aircraft Pages, or as I like to call it the Aces High II Aircraft Bible…
http://members.shaw.ca/soda_p/models.htm
Thanks to Soda’s, work (and trust me there is LOTS and LOTS of work done here) I have learnt the joys of planes such as the FM2, the F4U-1 and the Yak 9-U.
Using the FM2 as an example. You will find information such as Overview, Engine Performance, Weapons, Manoeuvrability, Flying the FM2, Fighting the FM2
Soda has been working to update these pages, But with the level of detail soda includes in each planes review it is a time consuming task. Never the less both the old and new information is a dam fine read.
If you want to know why you got slammed by that guy in the little FM2 with its four .50’s or what the P-40B is capable of read these pages they have been INVALUABLE to me in my AH career so far
A 21 gun to Soda for his work….
Netaces.org
Netaces.org is a HUGE repository of data for both the new and not so new pilot,
http://www.netaces.org/ahmain/siteframe.html#title
The sections include: Miscellaneous, Game Setup, Before You , Fly, Off-Line Prep, In the Arena, Tactics, Plane Info, Badboy's, Files, Arena Maps, Links.
The Tactics section makes for good reading when you have a few quite minutes.
If your like me and have kids a few quite minutes means locking yourself in the bathroom and repeatedly saying "I am not finished yet"... lol
A Big to Hammer for all his work….
Kingcat’s Home page
Kingcat’s Home page Has some wonderful interactive graphs for Speed, Climb Rate, Roll Rate and Acceleration at sea level
http://kingcat.hihome.com/home.html
I am not sure what language the page is in (please pardon my ignorance Kingcat) but just click on the picture of the instruments to get the interactive graphs up
Theses maybe a little out of date (No P47 and the new Spits aren’t there) but I think you will still find them useful.
A Big to Kingcat for all his efforts….
Combat Maneuvers
http://library.thinkquest.org/3142/manuv.htm

Click the images with frames to see a diagram of the counter to that maneuver
The Break
The High Yo-Yo
The Low Yo-Yo
The Rollaway
The Barrel Roll Attack
The Scissors
The Vertical Scissors
The High G Barrel Roll
Changes in maneuvers over time
