hard to get zapped if you not grounded. that is why aircraft can usually survive lightning strikes.

yeah, you have to be earthed for the current to flow. thats why you can hold onto a wire without anything happening, aslong as you aren't touching anything else of course

yah, that's how birds can land on wires and electrical linemen can do this.
