Windows/Laptop HIBERNATION issue
« on: February 06, 2006, 12:50:13 PM »
For no particular reason my eMachine laptop goes into Hibarnation mode, at random times. This began a few days ago. I checked the power mgmt setting in CP's and "hibernate" is still set to "never"

Any clues as to what's causing this to happen?

Thanks :aok

How's the heat?

I have an E-machines laptop.  It seemed like a great deal, until it shuts down ALL THE TIME.  I put my hand on the exhaust port and sure enough, it is HOT air being exhausted.  It may be due to an automatic temperature shut down.

Tap
You know that your landing gear is up and locked when it takes full power to taxi to the terminal

My E M Lap (6508) has been running like a top for 2.5 years. Doesn't seem to be running hot but gave the vents a shot of air jic.

have you run spyware and virus scan? might try a system restore to a time before the issue started to see if that helps also.
