after work on ToD/CT has been finished, i would love to see a change in the lighting and weather system. in my view, this game is behind with its graphics lighting and effects wise. of course, it is a fantastic game, and its the best combat sim you can get, and the recent updates of the planes have them looking top notch. the main drawback to the graphics in here is its lighting. and i was thinking that, if it were to be changed soon after CT is released, that it might be possible to update the weather aswell, with some better clouds and wind. it would really take this game forward IMHO, and many other people have had the same idea.

something like this would be just what the game needs:

yeah add a snow weather effect so the runways would be very slick and low visibility and ice built up on the wings that would be cool

well in AH i get a frame rate of about 45. i get 30 in FS while running max graphics, using a custom plane, with all those clouds about. it's not too heavy on the frame rate, and HT did a great job at optimising stuff last time, i reckon he can come up with some great effects that dont hit fps too hard.

Damn them clouds would Pimp AH out, Added Snow and watermelon would make me never leave this game or even my damn house

And the sun looks real to, Wish AH sun looked that way

what about weather effects like thunderstorms,tornados,tidal waves,sand storms or blizzards that would be awesome

that was basically the message of my post, that AH needs to change its lighting sysytem. it'd be a big update, but it'd be so worth it. and then, while that's being done, i'd love to see a quick rework of the clouds, to make them 3d, and so that you lose visibility. adding weather would be great

well the new planes look really great, they dont need much work. the thing thats letting AH down is the lighting effects on everything. change the lighting and the terrains will look better, and the planes will look more real. i mean, the planes we have in AH look far better than that little stearman there, but because of the lighting, FS2004 makes everything look great

i mean, just imagine dogfighting in this:

it shouldnt hit frame rate at all, its just changing the textures. of course changing how the lighting affects the terrain would take a while, but it would be so worth it. please HT??
