That was the only truly bad call I saw.  Caught, tucked away, 2 steps, then he fumbled.

wasnt a bunch of silly calls, was a bunch of silly mistakes though.

yeager, neither team played like they did to get there, neither team looked good.  Pittsburgh just made less mistakes and a couple big plays.  overall the game was not what i expected or hoped for other than the steelers winning.
the officials have been under attack all playoffs and rightly so after a few of the calls they made, this game was not decided by poor officiating as much as poor play.

Neither QB performed well at all.  The best pass of the night was from Randle El.

I would haveto agree here.

The offences of both teams were rather...offencive IMO and not in a positive way. Defences of both teams played...not bad. Not GREAT but not bad.

Lotta mental errors Seahawks just seemed ot make most of them and I almost sensed in the 3rd quarter they were gonna let it slip away.

Two of the biggest mental breakdowns ( a better word would be meltdown)the SH had was at the end of either half.

Hadto be the poorest use of the two minute drill I've seen in a long time and was only made worse at the end of the game by utterly atrocious clock managment and play calling.
I havent seen clock managment that bad Since Denny Green used to give me ulcers with the Vikings.

remember. There is a reason they play the games ;)

The Hawks have overcome bad calls all season, and there have been some really bad calls this year in the NFL (in recent memory, the call in Indy that was ruled incomplete)...never in my wildest dreams did I calculate at least 4 horrible calls in a Superbowl match up.  The only thing I can think of is that this is the NFL's way of keeping a coach silent, after Holmgren spouted off about the Refs in the pathetic play calling this past year when the Giants were in town.

Well, as an uninterested bystander (the Super Bowl was the only NFL game I watched all season) I can state that I thought the officiating stank.

The "push-off" was a pisant call.

The "illegal block" wasn't a block at all.

The "fumble" call, which was rightly overturned, was laughable.

Sure, the refs are human beings, and will make mistakes.  Yet these refs are supposed to be the best there is at their occupation, and the obvious shouldn't be cause for such obvious consternation.

Besides, I don't believe referees are as pure as the driven snow.  Some undoubtedly sell their virtue to the highest bidder.  I'm not saying that that is what happened here, just admitting the possibility.

Which raises the question:  What does the NFL do to police the conduct of its referees?  How serious are they about it?  When was the last time NFL referees were sacked for corruption?

"Say it aint so, Joe!"

the "push off".  one question for ya...did he create space for himself and prevent the DB from making play on ball by putting his hand on DBs chest and push(right in front of camera and official)?

"b) Initiating contact with a defender by shoving or pushing off thus creating a separation in an attempt to catch a pass."  from NFL rule book to help make decision.

"tikky tak" or not, rules are rules.

The Steelers made the plays, the Seahawks didn't.

The Seahawks got beat at a crucial time on a trick play. A trick play, think about it, what team gets beat on a trick play in the SB? That's pathetic. You can't be playing like that and expect to win on the SB stage.

The better team on Sunday was the Steelers, to cry about calls is pathetic. Grow a set of nads and and be a man about it.

Come on Rip...you don't buy this NFL conspiracy crap. Sure there may have been couple calls that are questionable.

Pushoff...well he did pushoff which is against rules. Ticky tact or not is debateable..but if he didn't want the foul, should not have pushed off.

Fumble...which they overturned on replay....and was real close to being a fumble...if the steeler hand had not barely touched his jersey, would have been fumble. Got to remember this is happening at fast speeds. Not slow mo.

Fumble by Seahawk receiver, which was blown dead as incomplete was maybe worst call of the game.

Seahawks just failed to execute to their potential. They and they alone lost the game. Examples:

All those holding penalties, one of which cost a TD, the guy held & tackled the defender.

What was it, 3rd & 28 on the 40 & seachickens let steelers throw a 38yard pass to the 2yard line. Defense failed big on that play. Following td would not have even been a question if they could have stopped a deep pass.

Bit hard on the trick play. What, they hadn't seen that play coming? Damn, the must have seen that play on film more than once. They failed to recognize & execute..poor defense.

Receiver..not to mention all dropped passes which should never be dropped...Get Both FEET in-bounds in a clutch situation.

And what happened to league MVP? 95 yrds expected from any decent back in big game. Problem is he had NO big plays, on one might come close which was around 20 yrds.

They failed to get him going, blame the Off line, which made it hard for offense to get going good.

Really simple, they lost cuz they didn't execute all game long, not just because of a few questionalbe calls.
