I-70 is alright if you don't go during rush hour, 5-8 and 3:30-6.  Not really sure about burger places up to vail.  A burger is a burger to me, so I wouldn't be the one to ask.  And drive like hell, you get no respect on the roads here, just don't go over 10MPH.  Have fun:aok

It's a very easy drive, unless there's a blizzard.

Skies are looking clear for the next few weeks, then it's spring and.......still nothing.  Don't count on a blizzard anytime soon.

It's an easy drive along I-70 as long as a heavy snowstorm isnt present, then you might want chains on your tires. They do a pretty good job of keeping the roads clear, but kinda hard to keep them clear when it's snowing like no tomorrow ;).

Other than that, avoid it during rush hour like nirvana mentioned.

i have rode in a rental 2 times on that route (to breck and vail)

it sure seemed like a long drive, but it was mostly clear. roads had little snow but were wet.
