Ram precedes warp

The other night I got rammed more than 3 times by bomber drones. Upon killing the lead I would instantly be rammed, THEN see the drone swing into lead position. This happened with lancs, b26s, several bombers all throughout the night. It happened about 3-4 times. The ram was instant, the second the lead was down, and while the drone was still way out of reach. This killed me enough times to really piss me off.

Please stop the phantom rammings. Either make the drones "pop" into place or make the collision model follow the 3D model.

EDIT: Let me clarify

Making run on lead. Fire at lead. Lead starts to go down. Follow through, get out of the formation asap, but lead ejected, so now I'm occupying the space the drone is going to move into, but I'm instantly rammed by the drone before it's even in place, do you see what I mean?

Hmm, this has happened to me (I can make it happen about 65% of the time when attacking a formation) but I've never taken damage from it... in fact, one buff was downed soley from this tactic alone.

I'm not saying I try to do it, but its not hard to take advantage of the system.

Died to this many times.  (well... a couple anyway...)

Now I kill drones 1st always.

Annoying little bug/whatever it is.

Well if you send the lead plummeting, you can disorient the gunner while making a snapshot at the drone(s). This buys you some safety time.

I dont think I've ever done this..but I have a different attack profile, with emphasis on vertical separation as I pass the primary. I almost always go for lead buff first, both to disorient the gunner when the kill goes down -- and to give me the chance for drone hits for those times I grossly misjudge deflection!

In fact this may be less of a bug than a reminder to give realisitc 3D leeway to buffs...
