That MiG 3 was definitely a high alt interceptor!

I read that it was fairly unstable, and hard to fly, under-armed, but very fast at altitude (it was designed for that part).

Yeah, fighting them in Il2, they are fast and relatively nimble at altitude, but any damage to the wing or controls and they go out of control. LaGG-3 is probably the toughest out of the early VVS fighters in that game to combat with the 109. Its not as fast, but its got good acceleration and turns on a dime.

God I hope we get a filled out the Eastern Front planeset once this ToD mess is over and done with.
