Don't be a hero in Canada

This happened last night in my home town

Sexual Assault attempt

The boy friend came to his girl friend's rescue and is now charged with assault.  They should give him a medal instead.  What a freaking joke

we all know why he beat the other guy unconscious...but the cops have to charge him because he arrived after the 'attack' and did some serious damage to the guy...

so..he got charged with assault and will likely be convicted BUT the court will probably suspend sentencing...not even probation (unless this guy has a long list of priors)

So he gets convicted of a crime for stopping a sexual assault, but it's okay if he doesn't do time? Not here it ain't. Don't know about there.

no..i'm just going by the article above: he arrived after the sexual assault occured and beat the perp unconscious...he's been charged with assault, but if he has no previous charges will probably see a suspended sentence (that also depends on how badly he hurt that guy too)

that would be the natural response, to kill the bastige...which is why I think the guy who rescued his girlfriend after the assault will only get a suspended sentence, given the nature of the circumstances
