No other explaination for it.

Toad, hope you are indeed in good shape, after what you've been through.

I had pretty much ignored this until I saw this bit here beetle. I had thought about sending this in a PM but figured since you mentioned me in a thread where I had not posted, I'd say this "publicly" instead.

As you no doubt already surmised, I really do detest those who commit domestic abuse. In the experiances I have had in dealing with them they were bully's intent on inflicting their will and pain on those who could not fight back. It was very gratifying to place them in jail for abusing those weaker than themselves.

In this case, you don't try to deny the situation and in fact have taken responsibility for your act. As such, I have to say I can and do respect you for that. It would be quite easy for you to simply try to pawn it off as a fiction after the fact even though you had not done so in the original thread that brought this situation to life.

I certainly hope you do not feel the claim that something is "an unfortunate chapter" is only applicable to you or is an excuse for inappropriate actions. I am sure that there are others that would like to dismiss many thing with a statement that it was "an unfortunate chapter" in their private lives as well.

In the future I will endeavor to dislike the act (hopefully a one time act and not a string of acts), and not let that dislike color all of the reaction to the individual making the remarks.

DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Well OK then. But you don't know the full story (only two people do) so don't presume to be in a position to pass judgement. I don't know what was said at the time - and I don't want to know. It's good enough for me to know that Tomato knows I would never harm her intentionally. The "incident" was last April, and I am on good terms with Tomato now. In fact she paid me a surprise visit this evening, and left only a few minutes ago.

it was the beady eyes and shifty expression that sold me.
