Administration not opposing deal that sells business to Islamic nation

By TED BRIDIS
Associated Press

WASHINGTON - A company in the United Arab Emirates is poised to take over significant operations at six American ports as part of a corporate sale, leaving a country with ties to the Sept. 11 hijackers with influence over a maritime industry considered vulnerable to terrorism.

What a loaded pile of crap.  Let's stop doing business with every country that ever issued a visa to a person who did a bad thing -- especially if they're the enemy du jour.  I would start to debunk that article, but it's so loaded and vague that it's not worth the time.

To come into the USA, it is the USA that issues the visa.

I know that.  I'm saying it's stupid to think that since the hijackers met in the UAE once, everybody from there should be treated as a terrorist.

If this is the best the they can do to criticize the administration's homeland security record for the 06 election, they're pretty screwed.

The article doesnt say to treat everyone as a terrorist..

This is a big decision to give this business to a foreign corp..
I thought this admin was all about security. Maybe you can tell me how this sale will make us more secure at the ports?

And you dont have to go very far to find things to criticize these guys...Plame, Drug benefits, Immigration etc...........Shooting lawyers in the face:)
