A guy I went to high school with used to do reps with the Universal machine's weight peg set at max (can't remember if that's 300 or 325 lbs) and a sprinter from the track team sitting on top of the handlebars. We're talking well over 400 lbs here. This is a 17 year old we're talking about.
I just spoke to Don on the phone the other day, first time since high school (we graduated in 1971). We went through the mandatory asking how each other is, etc. When I commented I was quite a bit heavier than the last time he saw me, his retort was "Yeah, you were real skinny, huh?".
I resisted the urge to reply "Yes unlike you you muscle-bound SOB" (I had already told him how he could find me
)
culero (not a scaredy-cat but not stupid either)
PS - I could tell a funny story about the time the school karate freak decided he would challenge Don to a fight....with hilarious results
