There are things I can control about 200 or on the BBS.  First is what I put out on 200 or the BBS that represents how I want folks to see me.  Second is how I react to the guys who are trying to stir things up.  That's still up to me.

If folks know they can get a rise out of people, they'll keep doing it.

You'll never end the negative stuff, but folks can sure impact it by how they react or not react as the case may be.

The example we set for new folks coming in also makes a difference I think.

But it's still on me to control me.  Hopefully if other folks feel the same and take care of their own stuff, it will begin to rub off on the community as a whole.

I always figure the second I start getting frustrated by anything in AH, I've lost my perspective on it for the day.  It's then time to log off and do something else as there is NOTHING in AH worth getting worked up about :)

My plane always sucks, and i don't know how my squad puts up with me on vox, what with all my screaming and unnecesary curse words everytime i get shot down.  I imagine there is a lot of .squelch nirvana.

I tuned off 200 and the text buffer is a lot slower now, sometimes hardly moving at times.  Don't really miss the banter at all.  I let the 40 year old children play Verbal Assault.

That hit the nail on the head. I am guilty of being a -->insert insult of choice here<-- sometimes. I try to ignore/squelch most what has been termed "banter" here when I see it on 200. One thing everyone seems to forget is what is lost in the translation when you can't see the person typing, you lose the "body language" & some people are just flat out trolling ( one person in this very thread tried to reel me in not long ago ). We are all imperfect beings & by definition have faults.  Give respect to get respect & above all regardless if you're irritated or not, don't lose it, just stay calm & squelch the problem.

Uber, telling everyone this isn't real is like saying there is no Santa... Cold man, cold.

This AH world totally cracks me up. People getting all bent cause of a cyber dude in a cyber world..  Do I laugh when I pop a 45 in the cockpit of some poor guy who just spawned onto the runway, Yes. Why you ask, cause it's funny. Sure my plane goes down in flames night after night but guess what, I get a brand new shiney plane. Now if I had to up some used piece of @#$% well ok I might get upset but, that's not the case.

Trash talkin over the internet is sooooo brave. haha Those that do it just crack me up...Oh how big and strong your virtual dude is... haha (get a life)

Forget the DA, I say virtual 45's at ten paces, main runway, high noon.

Wasn't trolling, merely giving back what you had said in the locked thread.  But, carry on.  Yawn.

I'm 15; does that mean I have a right to scream and cry on 200? Schweet. :D :rofl

"Im gonna PM that ******* and make his life miserable"

"The XYZ guy is a total meanie on text buffer, he pokes fun and makes me angry"

In my opinion, chill the heck out.  If you are emotionally disturbed by a GAME or by VIRTUAL 'banter', then SIGN OFF for a while to cool down. Maybe its not healthy for you to have feelings of wanting to inflict real physical violence towards a virtual opponent.

Do we really have to resort to the old Rhyme: "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but virtual banter will never hurt me"?!?!?!

Its almost embarrasing to see the lengths of babysitting that is going on in AH -> especially in the BBS.

Are we playing a WW2 Fighter Sim or a Barney's Playhouse game?

Turn off 200 and you will enjoy the game more.:aok

Obviously you've never coached youth sports.
Had you. The first thing you would have realised isthe  kids usually act more mature then adults.

Same applies here;)
Death is no easy answer
For those who wish to know
Ask those who have been before you
What fate the future holds
It ain't pretty
