50% of people in AH vox are "okay" levels for me, the other 50% are too dang quiet. This is WITH vox turned all the way up in AH settings, *AND* reports from 3rd party pilots say that those I hear at reduced levels can be heard perfectly fine by others.

Does anybody know why this is? I have a PCI SB Audigy (Audigy1), using 2.1 speaker setup of Boston BA735 speakers on a digital speaker-out line.

i do that too, i wish i could find a decent throat mic so as not to keep getting my mouth-mic covered in mayo and salsa sauce.

It'd also be really nice to have  the ability to have a permanent squelch list.  One you could put someone on and have the squelch last between logins.  I've had it on other games.  Doesn't seem like it would be that hard for this one.

I am regularly told my vox is very quiet using AH Voice, yet when I use Skype to talk in Second Life I'm asked to push my mike away as I'm too loud.    Can't please everyone.... :lol

Another problem is that some people don't realize how much their mic picks up what's coming out of their speakers.  When the input of your voice is matched - and even overpowered - by the P-47 engine droning out of your cranked up 5.1 Dolby surround system, the result is severe distortion.  Nothing like the voice of a screaming pre-adolescent distorted like an angry Dalek.
