"1776, In you source, I see only US media, just look at BBC and you will find a different point of view, or better look many other sources."  By Naso

I get one hour of BBC over NPR and it is just as corrupt as NPR :D

1776, it doesn't say so. It's a myth, maybe since the time of the Crusades. The only thing that can be misinterpreted is something like "you can kill them if they are at war with you". Bad thing to translate from my memory, Russian translation (that isn't Koran, Koran is ONLY in Arabic) into English.

Bible is a holy book for Moslims. And the New Testament too. And they respect Jesus as one of the prophets.

As for the way they "opress" women - the attitude is quite different if you compare, say, Talibs and Tatars.

I don't in any way support Moslim terrorists, but your attempt to blame all Moslims for WTC attack is a little bit too much.

1776, it's quite a problem... Look at how everyone bashes my country for calling Chechen "rebels" "terrorists". And only a hundreed years ago Chechens were Emperor's personal guards...

Sorry to say it, but I think that there are some problems in the US with knowledge about what goes on in the rest of the world.

The same way with Christian terrorists from good Christians.

Guys, Daff is anti-gun socialist and Boroda an alcoholic that 'lives in the past' (prior to 1991)...so they are outside the circle of "Unity" that the rest of the world falls in, don't let them get your panties in a bunch.

I'm interested in this exclusive 'circle of unity' you describe. It seems to have something against socialism (most European governments have middle-left governments), but also alcoholism (irrelevent) and anti-gun beliefs (irrelevant). Bizarre.

I also find your personal attacks highly amusing. I salute such a mature, grown-up individual. If Boroda isn't an alcoholic - bravo! I'm glad you are so in touch with your 'inner child'. If Boroda is an alcholic - bravo! Brilliant how you have a dig at someone because of a mental illness/physical weakness. I pay homage to your colossal intellect in the hope I can learn from it.

I also wonder why you post in the O-club, since you can't seem to stomach the concept that not everyone shares your particular views. Perhaps you should start your own BB called 'Circle of Unity'?

Irony defined.  :)

I think that my knowledge about Islam proves that I live in the past  :)

At AGW, before I was banned, I had a signature template: "This message was written by Boroda, who drinks too much to be taken seriously". And I admit that my alcohol consumption is higher then average on this board  :)

1776, unfortunately, what you call "CAPITOLISM" has it's drawbacks too.

And JFYI: there are many Moslim countries that have a strong capitalist economy. I mean - capitalist in marxist terms. If you definition of capitalism is different from Marx's - I'd be glad to hear it. According to Marx both Russia and USA have capitalist society now. Can I share your pride?  ;)

time to rant

The more Americans are told this is our fault the angrier we are going to get. Our overseas friends may be correct to point out that past foreign policy mistakes have bred a certain amount of anti-American hatred. We know as well as any society that we are not perfect.

To have the murder of 5000 + civilians compared to the accidental collateral damage caused during the defense of Muslim civilians in Kosovo, Kuwait, Iraq or Yugoslavia is enough to boil the blood of the most liberal American. Day after day you can see the anger growing.

Our government may often act without the majority consent of its people and cause more problems than it cures. But when it acts with the full consent of the people who elected them it is pretty damn impressive.

The president has the backing of 90 percent of Americans. If the terrorist want to see it rise to 100 percent keep showing us that video of bin laden. Keep marching in the streets shouting death to America. Continue with the terrorist bombings and threats of death and destruction.

As our anger rises so does the cry for vengeance. You see the people who committed this act and cheered when 5000 people died are not the only people who can scream for blood

The radical Islamic world may want to consider a policy change of their own. An arrogant America is dangerous but can be worked with. An angry America on the other hand could prove to be their worst nightmare.

Sorry for the long rant

Not really that ironic, Toad. The real irony is in that in trying to define irony, you have inadvertantly been ironic since the example you quote is equally applicable to yourself.

In an ironic way, of course.

I AM AMERICAN!!!
I LIVE, EAT, and BREATH
RED      WHITE    &   BLUE!!!

I am in this country because in the last 4 Generations people in my blood lines migrated to the USA from all over the world.
I have at least 5 different countries of origin that I can trace, not the least of which is Native American.

So, if you want to stop people from being free to chose freedom, freedom to speak their feelings, freedom to do what they think best, then take your bellybutton out of our country.

Otherwise, shut the diddly up and open your AMERICAN arms and hug the poor hurting Muslim who is now making the decision of a life time!
