More nannying - LOL - rights of children infringed
« on: February 28, 2006, 08:56:53 AM »
Booster seats are to be required in cars for children under 10. This, we are told, will save the lives of 2000 children every year.

How things have changed. My dad's old P4 Rover had a bench seat in the front with a central arm rest which I used to use as a seat - no belts or anything - lethal in an accident!

But what do you guys think of this new development - don't you think it infringes the rights of children under 10 to make their own choice as to whether they use a booster seat with restraint, or risk being catapulted through the windscreen?

I bet if you kept them from taking their kids to the pub and then driving home, you'd save even more!
