I dont live anywhere near you but I do live in Vegas. If you're ever down here , I can take you to some places where the Booze is flowing and the Sheep are willing.

I work as a volunteer once a week at Evergreen Aviation Museum in the aircraft restoration section.  The museum might be a good place to meet, since it's close to Portland.  For those of you that haven't been there, it's pretty cool.  I'd be glad to show you around.

Actually this is just a lunch get together.. Nothing as advanced as driving to McMinnville:)
But you certainly could try to entice people down there for a day ........
