I believe Tom Hanks revealed more than he intended to when he remarked that all the films nominated by the Academy (category of Best Director) had been chosen for their "social significance."

After a montage of "message movies" Stewart came back on and quipped "And of course none of those issues ever happened again".

"It's Tough out there for a Pimp" ??? You gotta be kidding me.

actually, once yah realize he's a liberal twit that has no more paitence for dumb democrats than he does for dumb republicans (he's an equal opportunity lampoonist) you can relax and laugh at the guy.

Notice, I said 'at'.

That being said, I missed the show.. CaddyShack was on last night.

I saw it too and thought that Thandi Newton is a hottie.  The movie was well directed and it really didn't go too far out of the realm of reality to give it's message.

Basically I came out of the movie with this:

"yes racism happens, here's a good example of how it starts and the effects of it.  Ultimatly the human spirit will prevail."

Just me though.
