Well krazyhorse, from your post the problem is not very clear.

You can log on, roll a plane, take off, fly around but you cant fight?
Are you playing with mouse or with a Joystick?
Is that "someone shooting at you" sound maybe the new buffeting effect/sound telling you you pulled to hard and stalled out the plane? (it sounds kinda like machine gun sounds and, yes, when youre stalled, your controls get sluggish)

Im always willing to go to Training Arena and help you out if you have trouble controlling your plane. Or ask any of the trainers for help.

thanks Shatzi , as far as training  well thats ok, been flying aces high off and pn for 5 or so years now , anyhow can you explain sound buffetting? evry things works ok until i am being fired on by an enemy plane , thats when i am hearing guns firing at me and it seams to over load my system, I was fine  before the new exe. was uploded , now i am having problems , no I don't fly with a mouse ,sometimes i think i should though LOL

DONT swtich back to mouse. Trust me, been there, done it. You dont want to do it. Im sorry, from your post it sounded like you had trouble flying.... i didnt want to imply anything with my offer of help.

Glad you could resolve the issue.
Maybe you have a corrupt sound file and/or need updating your sound card drivers. Since im definitly blonde where PC hardware is concerned, im afraid i cant help you more than that :).

This change in FM affects some planes more then others.
