I returned the 2 thousand dollar 3dstudio max program I was using to build it so its unfinished and will remain that way till im filthy rich and nuts enough to spend that much on a program again :D it did look sweet though had a navy version of it I was building too.

Okay, as one who's taken classes in several 3d amination applications, it's *not* that easy just to up and move to another program, and you don't even know if the other program will open/import your old work anyway.

I'm working in 3DS Max now, as well, and I've worked in Lightwave before that and Electric Image/Universe Animator before that. There is a steep learning curve when going from any one of these to any other one of these.

That said, there may be other ways around the steep price.. Borrow a friend's copy. Ask the boss if you can use a work copy (if applicable) and there's a "cheap" ($300 + last I saw) educational license available from Autodesk if you want 3ds max.
