Dang, how often do you get to see your wife?  24 hours without quality wifey time and I turn into Mr. Hyde.

I forget, do you have kids?

Eagl, how about splitting the difference? I live almost exactly halfway between Dallas and Wichita Falls. Wise County is booming right now, but property is still undervalued. If you don't mind an hour commute (and if you can afford the gas) this is a great place to live.

There is a ton of new houses being built at Lake Bridgeport and at the LBJ National Grasslands. The county population just broke 60,000 and they expect it to double in the next 10 years.

I see trainers from Sheppard flying over my house all the time.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Sister that lives in Coppel - seems like a nice area

Brother lives in  Lewisville - seems more pricey - but also a nice area, they are both happy there

That sounds like a good idea.  The savings in having only a single residence should pay for the increased comuting costs.

A 30 min commute is about all I can stand...  I'm one of those unfortunates that needs a full 8 hrs of sleep per day, and since instructors tend to spend 10-12 hrs a day at work, a 1 hr commute each way would leave me with a grand total of 2 hours each day to do... whatever.

I'm sure we'll work something out.  No kids but if we do have kids then she might start working only a few days a week, so we'll just have to see.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Storm cellar...what we call 'em.  At least that's what I think he means, rpm.

All I ment was about 95% of the homes are slab foundations. Very few basements around here. Not much good hiding there if the house is gonna fall in on you. A storm cellar on the other hand is a good idea.

Yeah, true.  The other 5% are along the Gulf coast on stilts.
