Eek - they have those things in Austria too! I don't like those at all, especially after a friend told me his story - he's one of those guys who remains seated for arse wiping - and put his hand in *it*. :(

using my superior mechanical and engineering skills, I have installed a 1 hp, 3450 rpm motor with a blender impeller at the bottom of my toilet.  (the motor on the outside).  This has a 2 fold function.  In the event of a 'nessie', I can turn on the motor and grind the  thing up into tiny bits, ideal for eliminating those, 'washing my hands while the crapper is overflowing' situations.  Also, in the event of a lockup, I can reverse the motor and suck out the bottlenecker.  This requires use of the seat belt, which i discovered the need for through trial and error.

Another thing comes to mind is when you just got rid of a big one, something Yeager is talking about, them foot long ones.  Well they sit on the ledge, not really completely out and you need to stand a bit and shake.
