lol,  last night defending a v-base in a tiger sitting on the road between the maproom and ammo bunkers  in comes a F4U heard the whistle and then I'm in the tower.  I up'd an osti drove out to where I was parked and the SINGLE bomb crater was off to the right rear of where I was positioned.  The victom of yet another 1 bomb wonder.  Conrats  Brentlo to u and ur amazing kill.

I had  22 kills in a tiger one time  thought the base was going to turn  when  the cap fell apart  and it all went pear shaped.

Several people tried kamikazing me with rockets  but i decided to leg it.

took   130mms  3  ju88 runs  to bomb me succesfully  and only after   a SPIT16 !!!  de tracked me  in one  side on pass.  


That tank took such a beating from  bombs/ tank shells / ack hits  etc etc.

How can a spit 16s  cannon de track it ???

Does damage accumulate  or was it the fact that i went through the war  and it had been weakened?

My tank experience seems  to be very random in regards to how many hits it takes to kill tanks.

A Tiger is tough enough to kill.  Stop complaining.  

A 1000lb egg or even a 500lb egg for that matter shuold destroy a GV, no matter the type.  Think about it...500 POUNDS of BOOM.  (or 1000 POUNDS).

Think about what would happen to your car.  And then armor your car and put it on tracks.  THe egg will still mess it up good.

You DO realize the concussion of a 500lb bomb will KILL YOU up to about 100meters in RL, correct?

I would imagine the concussion from a 500 pound bomb, even a 200 pound bomb from near hit would pretty much render your Tiger useless.  They were tough vehicles to be sure but hardly bomb proof.

lol  yep  it must be spring break and grade school is out.  assume all ya want,  imply all ya want, mis-read, mis-state, it does not negate the initial post and it's query.  Real Life is not AH so all the retorts of  a 500lb bomb visa visa vie is mute as well as the imature comments of "stop crying blah blah"  lmao.  I imagine some of you have never even been around that ordnance when it has been utilized and some have so spare the expert opinions on what it can and cannot do with regards to real life scenarios.  Been there got many t-shirts.

I use a F6f alot to Gv kill.  Salvo 1 with 500's and salvo 3 or 6 with rockets.  Tigers are tough you need to be very accurate.  Killed Tigers with salvo 6 rockets to but thats more luck than judgement.

f6f is steady as a rock to rearm and gets the 3 k diving alt fairly easy.  The method of 1 drop Tiger killing is get to 3 or 4k nose down........err wait up a mo.  I spent years learing this and I ain't blobbing it.  You'll use it on me:D
