P51 Combat trim
« on: April 05, 2006, 09:36:29 PM »
Combat trim on 51 bravo and delta seems hosed. I'm getting a slight climb which increases slowly to stall if I don't correct. Feels like the plane is trimmed slightly nose up.

Confirmed this with others in my squad..same thing...recal'd sticks, same thing :)
Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

So don't use it.

Or rather use it then lose it.

When you were trimmed out at 12k and 350 and find yourself down on the deck and turning. Reach down hit control x for a sec, then hit it again to turn it off again. You've just reset your trim for the lower speed/alt. Rest of the time leave CT off.  Granted its not perfect. But its a whole lot easier than manual trim all the time.

You want perfect, do  manual trim.

You want easy, do CT on & off as needed.
