Still flying nothing but the 38G when it comes to 38s.  Can't get as slow and turning in the weeds now but it's still a fun ride

Really, what's the diff between the G & J then besides wep & a piece of glass? Feels like the J handles speed much better... or am I taking the sugar pills again?

Right, I didnt think our J had the boosted goodies since its an early model.  And we wouldnt get a boosted J since few made it to service (or am i incorrect) ?

I'm guessing it's with CT in mind as the early J's are what the 20th and 55th did most of their combat flying with.  Greater range, more speed etc.  Very few, if any L's in the 8th AF so they wouldn't fit for CT.

There were a fair amount of J-25s but in essence they were the same as L-1s.

The early J models could still be found in the 9th AF well into 45 alongside the first of the Ls

Power, weight, fuel capacity, windscreen, and a few other minor differences.

We really need the H for CT, because the 20th and 55th went into action with the H. It is a cross between the G and the H, and fits the CT better.
