Skuzzy or HiTech?
« on: March 29, 2006, 10:32:01 AM »
Questions for Skuzzy or HiTech:

1.  I'm sure you have been made aware of the shore battery glitch.  Is this something you will get to when it's turn comes, or considered to be a perminent part of the game?

2.  Are players gonna be held accountable for utilizing small glitch's to get an edge, or is it considered enjoy it while it's there.

3.  I and a few others last night were noticing that sometimes when in an ostwind the guns shake and other times they don't shake (all in the same sortie it will switch from shaking to not shaking).  Has anyone else noticed this?

A YES/NO answer will do.

I think if you get close enough to the SB in a gv it becomes all but invis.

This has been going on for months now, I assumed you guys knew and just didn't have time to deal with it yet, sorry.

When you get to close to the shore battery you will become invisible, to others.  You can see and shoot like normal, but to others you will be in a hole in the ground, even the planes can't get at you, cause where the planes see you is not really where you are at, it's weird.

Could you please respond to the other 2 questions please.

Item 1 is fixed for the next patch.

Item 2 it depends on a lot of other factors. And I do not wish to be more specfice than that.

No idea on 3.

I thought No.3 happened to me the other night until i realized that i was going from full zoom in to full zoom out .  At full out the shake is hardly noticable compared to full zoom in .  Just something to look for the next time you think the shaking stops .

Thank you for your quick response HiTech, glad to hear the SB is going to be fixed.

Before anyone flames this post, please keep in mind there is alot of people who aren't old hens at this game and don't know all of the unsaid rules.  I'm sure i'm not the only one who has wondered/would like to know.

As for #2 question, I'm asking cause I've found a handful of little things like the shore battery that I'm assuming are little glitche's.  They work so it makes it hard to not take advantage of, but when others are doing it, it makes it even harder not too.  I do realize it's virtually impossible for you as one person to forsee all of the loopholes that your 3000+ customers may find.  But without a defined line of what is considered okay and not, it would be easy to make an offense out of ignorance.

Example:
There is no restrictions to stop you from creating a second accounts and using it for personal benefit of spying, score padding, or just being a jerk under a shade account to get rises out of the other players.  Many guys have been caught, ridiculed and in some cases kicked off the game for doing the second account thing.  But I don't know of anywhere it is stated this is a big no no.  If I didn't know about or care to read this forum I wouldn't of never known what a big taboo it was.

But what about things like utilizing the glitch in the Shore Battery or the glitch where if you push your buttons right you can up bombers and fire the guns on the runway.  Quick way to spoil a vulch.  Or the glitch where I can kill tigers with my pintle gun, RTMOOSE can attest to how many of his tigers I've taken out with an M3.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who is curious what your stand is on exposing/using glitch's in the game to the other players demise.

Actually 38ruk I was parked in neutral, fully zoomed in firing, and all of a sudden half way through my firing it stopped shaking.  It caught me off guard so I stopped firing.  Started firing again and it was still smooth and not shaking.  So I asked some of the other players on the 12 channel 2 said ya there's are now shooting smooth too and 3 said no it is still shaking.  By the time they all responded it went back to shaking, weird.  It did this off and on all night long last night, to not just me but others too.

Just thought i'd toss it out so HiTech could be aware of it.  But i'm more interested and concerned with Question #2, cause no one knows the answer.  I feel like on some of these usaid rules i'm driving down the Interstate with no speed limit signs.  I don't want to speed but I don't want be the only guy going 65 either.

I've also witnessed the osti shake stopping for a few seconds. I'll see if I have anything on film.
