Fuzeman

Congratulations or condolences, whichever applies.  LOL
You'll be missed, so thanks for the bit of sanity you provided as well as the instruction and wisdom. Hopefully this is not goodbye or farewell, but rather... "until we meet again".

(Not speaking for legacy carriers...only regional airlines since that's all I have a limited knowledge about)
If that was the case I think he'd rather be unemployed!  Life at the regional level isn't all it's cracked up to be in the kwik-e-mart flight school advertising.  I feel for one of my best friends who's a senior FO with one now.  Not quite captain, not great work rules and not great pay.  I interviewed with the same airline but fate had a different plan when my first choice employer called (the day I interviewed with the airline no less!)

I'm lucky to have been brought on board with a great charter operator ::sips more kool-aid::  I get to spend the next two weeks at Encore Initial. :)  In sunny Orlando none the less.  The conversation went something like this:

Them:  Hey Golfer, we need you to pick up and head off to sunny Florida for two weeks.  Here is your airline ticket, rental car confirmation number, extended stay hotel confirmation number and a check for your Per Diem up front.  Can you make it?

Me:  Ouch ouch!:cry   Okay already, stop twisting my arm!  I'll go, I'll go.
