Russian T-34 in German markings discovered!

A co-worker sent this story to me.  Anybody know how a Russian tank ended up in German markings?  I would assume it was captured and being used for evaluations when it sank in the swamp during field trials.

Thats pretty cool. It must have sunk in a hurry though for it to not have been effected at all by the elements over the last 60+ years.

Also, East Germany (as well as a number of other soviet puppet states) had T-34s in active service for years.  Dunno if it would have been the same iron cross markings or not...

Just a couple weeks ago the local motoring tv-show crushed an old Volkswagen Polo with a T34 our army captured during WW2. Was pretty cool. :D
