our squad, ZG-1 has been mostly absent from the MA for several tours now simply because most of our team members prefer a more historically based game play that is simply lacking in the mostly arcade arena. our squad is fairly proficient at knocking down bombers, we would be interested in helping with spoiling the LCA types' toolshedding forays. we current don't fly rooks but we are considering returning and perhaps switching to nits to take advantage of the prey that is apparently abundant lately.
I would be interested in knowing a little more about these LCA types, such as what bomber do they favor? what alts do they fly? what times are they typically commencing their strikes? Do they prefer to shut down furballs or are they HQ raiders? Do they perform more than one strike per evening? Thanks in advance for the information.
#1 - American buffs I believe
#2 - staggered alts from 5k to 25k, it just depends, the bulk of the planes in the mission I saw were around 12k'ish
#3 - whenever they have a gigantic #'s advantage
#4 - furball killers from what I've seen
#5 - I'm really unsure about that, & the above statements are based on one encounter & what they have said themselves
I recall delta saying in this very thread he would P.M. someone ( can't remember who ) and let them know
when the diapers were flying, but it would be up to them to find out where. I think I ran across one of these "diaper-runs" once; a few knights were barely hanging on to a base & we were outnumbered near 2-1 odds. I looked into the distance for cons & saw at least twenty boxes of buffs inbound I believe they were in either 24's or 26's ( sorry can't remember ) I almost landed & went somewhere else since the odds jumped to like 10 - 1 & I'm not that great of a pilot. Instead I picked out a box that was near enough to me that I could climb to & hammered away with what 20mm & .303 I had left, landed my 2 kills & 3 or so assists & left.
ANY help the knights can get when we are out-numbered by that much I for one appreciate. I applaud the folks who like to keep the numbers somewhat balanced, the ones who have temporarily jumped knight have helped out a lot. I will never switch sides, I started as a knight & I'll stop paying as a knight, but I don't hold it against anyone else. I also don't like to see "truces" between two countries to jump on one, but I will ignore a few enemy fighters that are after the same goal as my countrymen.
Duty - Honor - Country.....sure glad this is a game or I'd end up with an ulcer lol..
