I understand that in the new version  that 'x' is auto heading.
press 'x' nothing in radio buffer

when I open doors on M3, for example, I press 'o' and in the radio buffer, I get...

Doors open
Auto heading enabled.

Not a big deal though you should be able to remap the key for it right?

As for what it does it also keeps you accelerator pressed so it actually go's up hills a bit better and such, not such a wet noodle feel as just letting go of the stick.

If I'm not mistaken, autoheading keeps rudder input or changes in the terrain's slope from turning the vehicle.

It's posted somewhere on the boards, but GVs default to full throttle now once the stick has been pushed forward. You have to come to a complete stop, or shift to neutral before releasing the stick in order to not immediately rev up and take off again, if I understood correctly.

Auto Heading doesn't disable the rudder input. That was just my stick going on the fritz. The rest still seems to be correct.
