Anyone own a Xbox 360?

The title says it all. Anyone have one? Impressions?

The previews for the new Ghost Recon are making me wish I had one.

I'd get one but I have a xbox as well.  Very few of the games, to me, are worth the price even after you let them get down to about 30 bucks.  I miss the playability of the games my Intellivision had.  Not much on graphics but the games themselves were very fun.

I also have a xbox. Only games I found worthwhile were Halo #1, NCAA football,  and Morrowind. I may be missing a title or two but overall the xbox is a great system, just lacks in games.

As raider said, I had one but it kept locking up from overheating issues. So I sent it back to Microsoft and still haven't gotten one back yet.

Seen a thing on attack of the show today, that some higher up at sony told some reporter that it was planning on being released at $600. I don't know if that holds any credence, but that sucks if its true.

Hell if the 360 kept locking up why not just add an exhaust fan? Its not like none of us have done that to a computer before.....:O

I actually thought about that, but unlike my computer the 360 has a warranty. So I thought I would let them screw with it.

Wasn't there something about not all of the vent holes being open? If that was the case then just take a Dremel with a boring tool and open those suckers up. I am going to be grabbing one simply because all we have now are Xbox sports games. Then we will be able to play those and get a few new ones when they start coming out this fall.

I wouldn't give a fps shooter the time of day on a console. They may look pretty but the gamepad will make playing one pure hell.

The 360 graphics capability is amazing. Sure, PC's will eclipse it, but playing my 360 on a 50" HD tele is great. I agree though, FPS games on consols bite compared to a mouse and keyboard on a PC. Ghost Recon looks amazing, but is a pain-in-the-arse to play with a controller.

Now, if you like racing or sports games then the 360 is for you. Project Gothom Racing 3 and Fight Night 3 look so damn realistic. I'm also enjoying Elders Scroll IV: Oblivion on it. The only lockups I've had have been with Oblivion, and only a couple of times.

Send me a friend Invite....

Graw
John Madden  (you will lose)
NBA Live
Oblivion (pretty awesome)
FightNight

Graw is awesome...    a4 with 203 is the pimp gun.. (i used one of these in real life; I get that "scan your sector" feeling whenever i start dumping into people.  they need a gunpowder smell add on option and the game would be near perfect..)   m60 / m249 autogunner is blast too..

Lockups are mostly due to heat...   9000 mhz of 3 core puts out heat..  people using it on carpet or putting it in un-air circualted entertainment centers get the crashes..

Ive locked up on couple hour graw session but have very few problems otherwise..  (power off for 5 secs  power back on..)

Im currently happy with my 360...  can't beat the join game option and chat options with your buddies that Live offers, best on the market..  cheaters get hosed, a big plus. (very important in madden) (PC madden was a cluster in regards to ping flooders and other lamers)
