On Christmas Eve, the last thing anybody wanted to do was to fight a war. Both sides were quiet on the ground, but far from the front the drone of engines was heard. As morning broke, German Landsers and American GI's alike looked up to spot glimpses of the massive air battles that were taking place above. Little could be seen, but plenty could be heard, Flak, Cannons and Machine Guns echoed through the fog, Followed by Thunderous crashes, Trees cracking, and the whistle of falling bombs.

The Axis and the Allies exchanged attacks, Coordinated Efforts of the Luftwaffe successfully cut supply lines to 23, and destroyed its ability to push the Allied assault on 56. The Allied Vehicle Base at 23 was hit heavily and allowed German Armor and Infantry to launch a counter-attack on 23 later that afternoon, Although it was slowed nearly to a stop with the successful air attack on 56.

The Allies caught wind of the attack, and managed to push around and encircle the German attack. Encircled in the pocket was a hodge-podge of  group of German Armor and Infantry from different units. Sporadic fighting has been happening since Christmas day in and around the pocket.

Frame 2 Score:

ALLIES: 1155
AXIS: 1010

Both sides are moving there units closer to the front and the weather is claering. With a successful attack and encirclement the Allies could capture thousands of German Soldiers, But the Axis could pull a breakthrough, Rescue the men in the pocket and even advance back to the Moselle. But things look bleak, A Russian offensive in the East near the Oder could spell certain defeat.

There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
