Textures, terrain, etc load times decreased?

In the last few days I noticed alot faster load times of the textures and terrain features at startup.  I mean 4-5x faster; really noticeable.    Is it related to the different map?   Or some kind of server changes at HTC?

I found this thing in AH-meeting we had this weekend. In  some computers it really went fast! But in my computer it is slow as.... I have 2 GB RAM so that could not be problem.
