hi

this there any where you can pick a point on the map to start.

it takes a long time to just go half-way and there are bases that are close but the games takes you to the same on all the time.

From the tower, you can point and double click on a friendly airfield on the map, and it will move you there.  You can also type .move ##  (## being the airfield number) to move to another friendly airfield.

yea just double click on a friendly base from when you just get in on the map. or type .move XXX base of your choice.
