My First FRAPS test movie

I must say, I was fairly pleased with it, being my first attempt with FRAPS.
I was also a bit concerned when every avi was 20MB and larger at first for just a few seconds.  I departed from doing anything real serious, but just something with a little eye candy, humor, and fun testing. What adds up to 192 MB in 11 different .avi's got compressed into 14.3MB in the film. All 11 avis are there plus the music and more!  Remember, this is just a test........... :D

Pacific Fighters Test Movie

An earlier post had some really cool Screenies with the Beta Drivers, however, my frame rates are horrible-as you will soon see. I may purchase the FRAPS stuff as it was kinda fun to use and I hope to make more soon!

hehe, far easier isnt it?

i was amazed to find 20Gb of my hard drive was taken up with fraps clips lol. crazy the file size on those things:O

and yeah, you will find that FR drops a lot, it can help a lot to set the frame rate for the fraps recording to 50 or 60, gives a better frame rate for the clips as fraps doesnt need to encode the clip as much:aok

Fraps if nice. I use it all the time. Be ready for a new hard drive. I've had some projects over 15 gigs before rendering them.

I agree with you both that FRAPS is very cool. And that it can load a HD faster than you can comprehend. I have seen work from both of you and hope I might have some luck at making a really good one in the future.
Thanks for the support and response.
