When you get enough rank you can control the boats. This is very important. When you control the boats you can write things onto the map using the waypoints.

If you had a clue Gatt, furballers want three fields out of the whole map, that is all.  Maybe you could get your head out of your arse to see that.  Toolshedders and yourself can have the whole rest of the map.  Take a better look and actually try reading rather than seeing only what you want and then making dumbarse comments based on it.  :aok :lol :rofl

Cool down Mars, I was referring to idjiots constantly harassing others on ch.200 just for being outside their furball or playing something else than bite-your-tail-no-matter-what-plane-you-ride. And this well bejond that three fields area. Or I'm doing a  mistake and you are on of them?

To do this, but surely the most contraversial.  This thread has been up and running for about a week and not a single input from any staff member.  Surely by now they are aware of it, yet no input.

This leads me to believe they wish us to take it for face value. It is apparently not viewed as a cheat, but is OBVIOUSLY frowned upon by the majority of the community.

IMO, I'm quite glad the culprit has been exposed, and that the community has chastized the actions of the perpetrator as well as the beneficiaries.

Still,  I have no doubt this exact scenario will occur again, and prolly happens alot more than any of us realize.  I see it as the same mentality of the masses that horde, or use the HO as their primary means of combat. Simply put- Gaming the game, no matter what the cost.

My goes out to those that earn their rank and score the "old fashioned way". a rank of #500 earned, is more valuable than a rank of #15 gamed.

Nothing to cool gatt, I just call em like I see em.  I have never seen what you speak of, if they are furballers they could care less what the others outside of the fur are doing.  The only time you will hear from a furballers is when the fur is killed.  I have to think those that you speak of aren't furballers.  Carry on.

Cheating?, ughh, no. Its not a "hack" or something similar.

King Of The Dweebs (with sceptre, crown and ermine cloak)

Yes. Absolutely. To pad your score with "bought drones" is dweebery.

"Spying" is sort of dweeby (side switching and feeding info), but its done, and some consider it a valid part of the game too.

"HOing" is considered by many to be "less than honorable", yet most? do it (at least some times).

Flying LA-7s and only LA-7s? hmm, I will leave that one alone ;)

...and yes, its up to HTC to decide what they code, and how they code it, and what they allow, and don't. Its their sim.

I care about how I do.  I care about killing you and not how many points I got.  Thats the part that is meaningless.  As long as you went boom boom, I could not care less about score.  As for upping vulched fields :D yeah, they are all new and will learn eventually :rofl

Checking your score doesnt mean that you care about them.

Personally I take a look at my scores (or better: stats) regularly (every week or so). Shake my head and keep on flying. The only thing i really "worry" about is my hit%. Anything else.... well..... errr...... i better not care, right? :rofl

I think most players look at their stats to see how they're doing relative to how they normally perform.  If I feel that I'm having a particularly long run of good or bad aim, I'll check my hit percentage to see how it measures up to what I consider my natural average.  However, I do not (nor does Dedalos, I'm sure) look at the rank associated with those statistics.  The rank constitutes the "score," not the statistics themselves, and we should take care not to confuse the two.

Actually I think the toolshedders use their second accounts to fly escort for their own bombers when they can't get fighter support. They have been actually reported to kill enemy planes :aok .

I know of a player to establish a 2nd account to fly goonies to resupply the base that his toolshedder buddies are flying from so they can perform bombing missions. Sometimes he takes troops to capture bases.

The horror and shame of using a second account to help your own country
by cooperation and team work instead of having it go to another country
to help inflate your ego and compensate for a small  pitot tube.

What are some of these guys thinking.....

I agree with you completely there lev, but even the stats themselves are easily manipulated with just a little effort. Witness...I was able to go from a 3.5K/D in the last tour to a 12 this tour by flying differently and actually trying to stay alive. I know the quick retort is that I avaoided contact often and the K/T must have suffered but go take a look...it went from 6.8 last tour to 10 this tour.

I am NOT trying to brag, I am of average (at best) skill in the MA. I'm just saying that both score and stats are easily manipulated if their manipulation is a goal. There was no shade activity, in fact I only killed one squaddie one time, I was ble to cherrypick Stang once last week.

I'm sorry but there is no way that what he did was not cheating...

Hitech takes hacks a lot more seriously then cheating and i can understtnd that as it would affect more players and compromise the game...

That being said there is a whole section for scores and "congratulations" are given for top and runner-up...so it is not just a "fun" score as some seem to think...ask the top 20 score pilots and ask if it is of importance ot them or if they got top 20 by poure luck while defending vulched bases...

Yes this is just a game...and no there are not set rules like in chess...but spying....padding scores....affect the community and should be viewed for what it is....cheating.  The advantage he gained was taking slots from better pilots under him...note that Shawks squad has dropped to 3rd from 1st after he was booted...ask the top squad if it matters they now legitamately have number one squad spot?

I dont play for score...but i dont slam those that do....I do slam folks who do things that are "Wrong" if not technically "illegal".:furious
