This company reprints Air Ministry pilots notes issued to RAF personel from 1939-1945.  For example, at the Biggin Hill airshow last year I bought the manual for Spit V (A, B & C + Seafire IB, IIC & III).....guess how much.  £5.


If it flew in RAF service, there's a manual for it.  Oh, and BTW HiTech......the manual for the Spit V and Seafire clearly states they can use up to a 170 gallon drop tank.     And Seafires can angle flaps to 18 degrees for take off after having mod.no.63.

Didn't that Seafire mod involve using wooden blocks to actually jam the flaps open?

Nope.   The manual says that's what they did before the mod was done.
