Ahhh...Like father, like son
« on: May 09, 2006, 08:57:10 AM »
We had our T-Ball practice last night.

The assistant coaches daughter (Paige) is an adorable little girl, very pretty brunette with big brown eyes.  I started to notice that she was paying particular attention to my son and although she is fairly shy she made every effort to be close to him and to get his attention.

In the car on the way home he looks up at me and asked "Did you see Paige, she came with me to go and pick up all the baseballs?"

I said "I did...and I thinks she likes you."

His offhand answer:

"Yea".

Of course I then broke into the old favourite:

"Trew and Paige
Sitting in a tree
K-I-S-S-I-N-G etc"

He just smiled.

It was a cool moment.

Ahem...

We will probably not hear similar comments about your daughter in the next 15ish years to come :D

when daughters realize the immense power they hold all hell breaks loose for Dad.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

near the end of my sons t-ball season he was playing center-field and was hit in the back by a fly-ball.

his mind was completely out of his own game and intently focused on the 10-12 year old girls playing softball on the next field over.  once it got warm enough for them to wear shorts with their uniforms it was damn near impossible to keep him focused in the outfield.
