110C of 12./NJG 6 (referred to as Escadrila 51 vanatoare de noapte, or 53 Night Fighter Squadron, in ARR documents), this aircraft was the squadron COs aircraft- it was the only one painted in Romanian markings (for propoganda purposes), the rest being left in German markings, as the Group was manned, supplied, and commanded by Luftwaffe veterans. There was only 1 squadron staffed by the Romanians.

This aircraft, along with about a half dozen others, scrambled against the incoming B-24s over Bucharest on 1 August 1943. One ARR 110 was lost to a collision with a Liberator that day, but this aircraft returned safely. Its eventual fate remains unknown.

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

final shot. I used Krusty's template downloaded from the AH skins page. Thank you for making it avaiable!

One tip I realized after submitting that template:

The smoke stains on the under-side of the wings are too far inboard. You need to move each one out toward the nacelle a bit more, so that the stain "hugs" the nacelle better. Basically get rid of the white gap between the stain and the pod.

There's stains on the pod that are supposed to be part of the same stain, but the template was an early version and I goofed when I placed the larger stains.

The skin itself:

Looks a little plain, but then some planes looked plain. Is it all 1 color or is there an upper/lower color division?

Theres a very slight variation between the two, kind of a cadet grey upper and sky grey lower. I used basic RLM colors and lightened them up a bit. ARR colors are usually close, but not quite the same as German ones. It was very plainly marked aircraft, no squadron logo, personal markings or rudder stripes.

From what I was told, this one was oversprayed in two colors and then had the markings reapplied by LW regulations, so its pretty much the same as it was but with a different color set and Mihai crosses in place of Balkenkreuz.

I'll follow your advice with the exhaust, and I also noticed a few places where the panel lines extend a bit too far and run into the next portion of the skin (thats the little black dots on the top of the tail), I have since fixed that.

I'm thinking of making a companion skin of the other one, the one that rammed the B-24. Its in standard LW markings with the 2z+EW tail code.

Cool beans. Don't take my "looks plain" comment as criticism, though. I think the bright national markings will be eye catching (especially on a single-color background) and will make for an interesting skin to fly.
