Iran Hints at Exiting Nuclear Treaty
AP - 1 hour, 24 minutes ago

TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad hinted Monday that Iran was considering withdrawing from the worldwide Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and said he did not think the U.N. Security Council would impose sanctions on Iran. "Those who speak about sanctions would be damaged more" than Iran, he told a news conference. "But no particular event will happen, don't worry."
Democracy is two wolves deciding on what to eat. Freedom is a well armed sheep protesting the vote.

Oh grand.  We've got Germany withdrawing from the League of Nations all over again...  And a western world likely equally content to sit around as though nothing's wrong.  So when does a popular "peacemaker" head over there with some scrap paper?

If one good thing can come out of our invasion of Iraq, it will be the handy forward bases for an attack on Iran.  I believe Bush was a student of history - I hope he acts on it.

I think the EU should take the lead on this one. It would be a good oportunity for them to show that they can be a leader in the world.
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

The EU is probably too busy arguing over which type of offical stationary they should use for their letter of "grave concern".

Some people act like America's some shining knight that always does what's right and comes to save the old world while Europe bickers this way and that.

I hope it's realized that our Greatest Generation had next to no inclination to go into WW2 until they themselves were directly attacked.  And that Europeans had been fighting and dying to preserve freedom for a good two years prior.  That in the case of the British and French , they were fighting before they were directly attacked (though the writing was on the wall).

One might bring up "Sitzkrieg."  I mark this down as an error of strategic judgement.  Wrong lessons learned from WW1.

Don't get me wrong, I too would like to see the Europeans more actively involved militarily in the Middle East, but it just strikes me as haughty nationalism to imply that they are incapable, or even historically non-inclined, to do so.  They just often need more pressing evidence, is all...

I hope he is discovered building nukes or launches one. Because when that happens, people are going to be like "Oh...so...the U.S. did see through the BS."

Honestly, the guy is nuts, wants Israel gone and denies the Holocaust. You know why? Because he wants to start a true one and have it be "THE" Holocaust.

oh, horsepucky. there will never be another 'holocost' for the jews again.

Now, if yah wanna toss a coupla million africans, ethiopians, cambodians, armenians or kurds into death camps nobody'll do a damn thing.. including israel.

But, round up a few thousand jews and spark up an oven and this planet will go ape**** in a heartbeat.

So... no; I think our jewish friends with the nuclear arsenal won't have any trouble with Iran any time soon... and the moment they even THINK Iran might get jiggy there will be a 500 year climate advisory posted for several areas of Persia.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.
