Or, Alice's Restaraunt piped into every plane, briefing room and GV intercom.

Arlo's point is well taken, the lad who started the thread simply said "Deutschland, Deutchsland here' your plaaaaane set . . ."

Sung to a catchy tune, too.

Everyone is always forgetting the Pe-8, just because it was big, slow, outdated, and outguned doesnt mean that we shouldnt have it. I mean come on, COME ON! It could carry a 5000lb or somethin bomb o-serious death. You can even kill planes with that thing. He-111 is also a plane that we seriously need. Its alittle out there but the mistel would be quite badass indeed, i mean comeon, its a giant (I think 1 ton) warhead attached to a ju-88, who doesnt want that (except for tankers)?

Petylyakov (Pe) 8 was not a bad plane, but was built in few numbers and used as much as the Grief was or less.  It was famous for bombing Berlin a single time early on (had great range as I recall) and ferrying Russian dignitaries.

What, no one wants the Stinson L-5 Sentinel (akaU-19; O-62; OY-1; OY-2; Sentinel Mk.I/II.....etc etc...)?  Nicknamed the "flying jeep".  We could give the pilot a rifle to shoot out the window.
Specifications (L-5):
Engine: One 185-hp Lycoming O-435-1 flat-six piston engine
Weight: Empty 1,550 lbs., Max Takeoff 2,020 lbs.
        Wing Span: 34ft. 0in.
        Length: 24ft. 1in.
        Height: 7ft. 11in.
        Performance:
            Maximum Speed: 130 mph
            Ceiling: 15,800 ft.
            Range: 360 miles
        Armament: None

Or the Piper L-4 / O-59 / L-18 "Grasshopper", or Cessna L-19 / O-1 Bird Dog ?

The Messerschmitt Me 323 "Gigant" Heavy transport was mentioned....heck yes I'd spend my buff perkies on a butt-ugly plane that could drop 10 field supplies or 100 troops in one drop.....  a big, slow, ARMED , goon!

The Heinkel He 177A-3 (or later) Greif (Griffin) Heavy bomber.... 1,000 were made, so as a perked buff, sure.  Later models were not quite as Zippo-like.  A little more bomb load than Lanc, decent turrents, and quite a bit faster than a Lanc.  Nice alternative to not getting the B-29.

He-111 would be nice for senerios of th Battle of Britain, but totally outclassed in the MA.

Betty?  Could we have the heavy fighter escort version....no bombload, but 20mm's at most of the turrent positions?

We'll never see the B-25 cause they don't want to hear incessant whining about a carrier launched version......

A-26...sure.... we got the P-47 N-model, a late-war model to be sure, so why not the A-26.... but American numbers pretty well rounded already in plane types.

I'd definately vote for a second perk-bomber before any new fighters or GV's.....

....though I'd still like a General Patton version of the jeep....where he stands in the passenger seat, shiny helmet on, firing his .45 at passing planes..... and a jeep with a recoiless rifle (60mm or 90mm) centerline plus a .30 cal for the passenger, and painted in Desert Rat colors.
