YES IT IS!!!!! Pettitte was BEAUTIFUL with that ball tonight.  :D  Not to mention the nice 2 run homer by O'Neill. With Mussina on the mound tomorrow night...we should be taking 2 back to NY!!

I might add, I was not the only one that noticed that Sele was not given the same "WTC Strike Zone" that Pettite was...call me paranoid, but in close games, Umps are gonna give it to the Yanks.

1-0 thru 4 or 5 innings, Sele made one mistake after the ump called two balls that were strikes in many eyes...so Sele placed it more to the center, right over the plate, O'neil took it out of the ballpark.  3-0.  Eventual score was 4-1, yep, it was close.

Exactly.  In the NLCS, Braves couldn't do jack on Randy in game 1, Maddux gives up 2.  D-Backs up 1 game.  However, in Game 2, Giles leads off with a homer, and Glavine gives up just 1 run in 7 innings.  Javy cranks one out, flood gates open.  final 8-1 series tied at 1 heading to Atlanta.

If the Yanks win game 2, then the M's will start sweating a little.  Then again, Braves took 2 from the Yanks in 96 before Yanks won 4 straight.  Point is the ALCS isn't over until someone wins 4 games.   :p

This is one series I think I'll enjoy from the safety of my livingroom, with a shotgun crooked over my knee.
