I never claimed to have ventured into the music industry.

then again I never mopped floors for a living either
But I have been around music and musicians most of my life.
I come from a long line of musicians or the music profession dating back to my great great grandmother. My sister and I are the first generation of my family not to have been involved in music on a professional or semi professional level other then for the pure enjoyment of listening to it.

But being around musicians and with music having been such a large part of ones life you learn to recognize talent.

Springstein was good. But he isnt GREAT.
His band was far more talented musically then he was vocally

I have great musical talent, along with a bunch of other talents. I'm just talented at almost everything I do.

I'd consider Bruce Springstien lucky. He's a crappy singer and his songs all suck. He got very lucky.

I always thought Bruce Springsteen and Jimi Hendrix had good singing voices, set them apart. They can't hit a note? Their voices are crackled and smoky? Maybe that's how their music is.

And i'm pretty sure it's Springsteen with 2 E's.

Lmao each one of those two by themselves are light years better then Springsteen and Dylan combined.

To give an example of how enormously popular Pink Floyd is, there "Dark Side of the Moon" cd stayed on the Billboard charts for an unbelievable 14 years!!!

There is nothing that even comes close to that record.

In 1976 they played Ivor Wynn stadium where they debued "Wish You Were Here". There was approx. 100,000 people on this hot swealtering day from Canada, NY, Il, Mi, Pa etc. I remember the local beer store being sold out by early afternoon and the local kids having a blast collecting all the empty bottles and returning them for cash.

Concert was about 3.5 hours long starting with the soon to be released WYWH album, then a break, (now it's dark out) and then an entire set playing DSOM in which they blew up a million dollar score board by accident when the plane crashed into the stage*, then another break and a return to finish the show with Meddle.

Unquestionably the best concert of my life.

*they cancelled all concert at Ivor Wynn for about 15 years after that show, until Rush played there in the late 80's or early 90's.
