Strat Targets that mean something
« on: April 23, 2006, 02:39:06 PM »
AHII is full of great targets, Airfields, towns, factories, they  get re-supplied automatically, there are roads, bridges, truck convoys and trains.  But what if, What if the truck convoys or trains had to  cross a meaning full bridges and that bridge could be a
 target.

The bridge could be destroyed, and to rebuild the bridge or to rebuild a town, the owning element had to put   an engineering set of troops in to rebuild the town, or bridge or airfield.

A base would have different types of troops, not just the assault troops used to capture a town, but engineering troop that could re-build the town or airfield, re-build a bridge.

The bridges or roads, railroads, would become strat targets,  they would have to be defended or your airfield would not be automatically re-supplied.

I am with you on the strat targets that directly impact the game but not on various troop load-outs.  Right now the only way to impact the game is to bomb FHs and VHs... I dont really count HQ because unless your team has taken nearby bases the HQ is resupplied in minutes.

I do wish that HQ was down at least a half hour regardless of the number of supplies dropped... It would lure more targets for my A8... :t err I mean It would encourage people to look at the map and defend against bomber attacks...  :D

Typhie attacks on bridges...
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

I would definately like to see more types of strat targets - bridges, dams, power plants, and various types of factories (adding ship building yards or aircraft and gv plants would be cool). I don't really see the need for seperate types of troops though except to prevent the airborne engineer prehaps...

All in all I'd like to see a bigger variety and more frequent strat targets.
